A community dedicated to supporting food equipment service companies with timely information, ideas, and best practices from the field that unite and empower us all to meet the COVID-19 challenges we are facing.
Once the customer understands that the service industry is still here and ready to support them, the next hurdle is to ensure they know we are taking every precaution to keep them and our technicians safe while at their location.
A few steps to take: Extend hours without OT charge to allow for after-hours service
Get creative with moving equipment outside or to the backroom away from others
Create a one page flyer, easy to read, pictures more than words, of the steps you are taking to keep them safe. Big blocks of text will not be read. A picture of a technician with gloves and available PPE, sanitizer, and an indication that you will sanitize work areas before and after service will be helpful. Also ensure your technicians look the part. Clean work attire, tool bag and shoes will help get them in the door.
Stay engaged, this will end. I am grateful for you and this industry.
